| SCRF GRANT APPLICATION GUIDELINES 2008
The Sauer Children’s Renew Foundation is committed to using its resources to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and their families. We will fund programs within the State of Minnesota, with priority given to the Twin Cities metro area, that show measurable outcomes in the following areas:
- Work toward the adoption of children in foster care.
- Provide safe havens for at-risk children.
- Build self-esteem and character of abused, neglected, and/or homeless children through mental health services, educational support, social skills and activities.
- Assist/educate families and youth to self-sufficiency and help them maintain it. Priority will be given to organizations that use a qualification process or benchmarks for participants/clients to demonstrate their commitment to becoming self-sufficient.
Applicants should submit one copy of their proposal including:
- A cover letter that includes a brief summary of the project or program
- Minnesota Common Grant Application (including the objectives of the program, how they will be attained and evaluated, and also the project budget)
- List of major contributors and amounts received, committed or pending
- List of the Board of Directors
- Valid 501(c)3 letter
- Financial statements from the current year and the previous year
- Fact sheets or brochures
- Annual Report
Grant proposals can be emailed to colleen@scrfmn.org or mailed to the following address and postmarked by August 29th, 2008. Grant proposals will be reviewed by the Charity Review Committee in October and approved for funding by the Board of Trustees in late November.

SCRF only makes grants to nonprofit organizations that are tax exempt under the Internal Revenue Code 501(c)3. All applicants must comply with all Federal, State and local non-discrimination laws. The Sauer Children's Renew Foundation does not make grants to individuals, political and lobbying activities, endowments, deficit or debt reduction, fundraising activities or advertising.
